The Guild of Media Arts is hosting a panel discussion in front of an invited audience to explore how, in each of our cities, media arts are helping to develop a thriving and sustainable creative ecology.
Each city form the panel, made up of representatives from Portugal, France, South Korea, Slovakia, Japan and the UK will present a short case study following which we will talk about the challenges we face in achieving our objectives, and how we can make a stronger case at local and national level, and to UNESCO, for the importance of the media arts in sustainable urban development.
The session, which will be livestreamed and recorded, will commence at 10 am and conclude at 1pm. Registration and coffee will be available from 9.30 am at the Hospitium, Museum Gardens, York YO30 7DR.
