See York Minster in a different light this autumn as the awe-inspiring Northern Lights returns

See York Minster in a new light this autumn when the spectacular Northern Lights sound and light projection returns to the cathedral by popular demand for a seven-night run.

Northern Lights, the installation designed by artists Ross Ashton and Karen Monid from double Guinness World Record winning company The Projection Studio, the installation originally debuted to sell-out audiences in June 2018 to raise funds to protect the Minster’s medieval stained glass. This autumn’s events will again support the cathedral’s 20-year campaign to ensure all of its 128 mostly medieval stained glass windows have protection from the elements.
