Do you love working with young people? Would you like to inspire local 13 to 16-year-olds to aim for a creative career? If yes we would encourage you to apply for this exciting new opportunity.
York St John University are now working with the Saturday Club Trust to offer new National Saturday Clubs to local 13 to 16-year-olds. This opportunity enables local young people to gain a ‘Uni-Experience’ at an early stage. The Club Members will be on our campuses for a series of Saturdays, learning new skills, meeting new people, and breaking down any barriers to their continued study onto HE in the future.
We are now seeking a Saturday Club Co-ordinator to support organising and running the Saturday Club and provide the first point of contact to Club Members, Parents/Carers and Session Leaders. This exciting new role enables you to help shape young people’s initial contact with further education and motivate local young people who are considering a future creative career.
In this role, you will also support a visit to a Yorkshire venue and London within the club year, where all club members showcase their work and share best practice.
The club will run from November 2022 to June 2023 on Saturdays, term time only. However, there will be additional weeks worked outside of the club timetable, to be involved in club promotion and supporting Saturday Club events. This will equate to a total number of 26 days paid work over seven months.
